How to know Spiritual Long-sighted people:
11. They don't accept counsel:
I like what the Scripture said according to Proverbs 11:14 ASV. It says "Where no wise guidance is, the people falleth; But in the multitude of counsellors there is safety."
Anyone that wishes to succeed in life must be surrounded with wise guidance. If not s/he will fail. The emphasis is on "wise" guidance; not any kinda guidance. Wise guidance will keep one on the right path, but any other kind of guidance may be misleading.
This is why many Government officials always surround themselves with Special Advisers. But the challenge is that all these Advisers are not actually there to advice, but to embezzle public money. Because there's no way such offices will exist, yet the Government will be failing.
Conclusion:
One may have thousands of Advisers, yet doesn't listen. Why one may have only one, yet put his/her ears to the ground.
