7. Humans prefer things when they're difficult: 

I found out that humanity value things when they're difficult than when they're easy. They value things that are costly than when they're very cheap; they see the costly ones as the original, while the cheap ones are fake. When the journey is very far, we prepare ahead, but when its close, we care less.

This is seen when Naaman was told to go and wash by Elisha, which he got angry and left. His servants told him "Sir, if the prophet had told you to do something very difficult, wouldn’t you have done it? So you should certainly obey him when he says simply, ‘Go and wash and be cured!"

If Elisha had told him to pay billions of whatever they're using that time, he would have done it wholeheartedly without a protest. But just 'go and wash' became difficult because it seemed so simple and very light.

Conclusion:

It'll be very difficult to convince/change the mind of person who's belief system has affected his reasoning.
