Every child of God already has a Joy, as a result of our Salvation through Christ. This is why they envy us, because no matter what we'd faced, we still remain Joyful.

Often times, devil has raised so many things to ensure we loose these Joy we already have, using the nation(economy, tribes, religion, etc). 

We can only loose this Joy, but the Joy itself cannot die, because that Joy is beyond natural. So whenever we lose this Joy, what we need to do is to cry to God

"Restore to me the joy of Your salvation" Psalms 51:12 NKJV
