No stopping or excuse!
The first statement(command) from the Scripture above is trying to remind us of the need to keep keeping up to what God wants from us; what will make us lead better in our homes and the society at large.
We were told to "be always..", so there wouldn't be excuse why we started humble, gentle and patient and couldn't continue. No matter the situation/condition facing us, we should "be always..."
Even when our humility, gentleness, and patience are mistaken for weakness, let's "be always..."
Have temptations piled on our ways like files, let's "be always..."what God expect from us, not what people's opinions about us.
