Can we personalize it and read it in this way... "I won't make someone get conceited, provoked or jealous."
It's possible that most of the nasty attacks and attitudes we get from people could be as a result of how we carry/position ourselves. Because pride, arrogance, ego, etc, can get someone provoked, conceited and jealous.
