The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses.
Here’s My Take:
MODERN DAY PHARISEES:
4. Control & Power: One of the prayer points of every Pastor should pray is for God to remove Modern-Day Pharisees from his Church. Because those guys didn't come to play. They knew how to influence church doctrines and policies, to work against the Pastor. Any Pastor that has them in his quiver is already a dead man.
I know of a Pastor that had these men around him. These men almost swallowed the Pastor up but thank God for his wife that refused to allow them. They dealt with the Pastor and he lost weights.
Do you know that after every Thanksgiving, they will request that everything be shared. On one occasion after Thanksgiving service, they sat again to share things as usual, to share their spoils. But the Pastor's wife refused. She challenged them and insisted on her decision.
Conclusion:
Modern-Day Pharisees doesn't see Church as Church. They see it as a business center - chop and I chop center.
