2. Judgmentalism: People’s beliefs shape their mentality, and that mentality, in turn, affects how they relate and associate with others. Do you believe that? This is why many of the problems we see today are rooted in belief systems. Different beliefs produce different mentalities, and different mentalities produce different attitudes. Beliefs also shape character.
Belief itself is not going away. The challenge is that even within the same religion, people hold different beliefs. Even within the same denomination, beliefs still vary.
These differences are one of the reasons people become judgmental. Accepting other people’s beliefs becomes difficult. People may tolerate many things, but accepting beliefs different from theirs is often the hardest. That is why they sometimes react aggressively.
Conclusion:
Pharisaic attitudes thrive where people see themselves as complete and others as inferior.
