Topic: THE PHARISEES
Word: Matthew 23:2 NLT
"The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses."
Here’s My Take:
HOW TO KNOW A PHARISEE:
6. A Pharisee is someone that hates the truth: The world today is full of people who hate the truth—a world where dishonesty is celebrated, while honesty is hardly valued. Yesterday, we shared a story about a roofer and some police officers, and it raised serious concerns. Some people even asked why the man didn’t inform the family first.
Here’s the background: the man whose money was found was known to be greedy and had diverted public funds for personal gain while he was alive. So when the roofer discovered the money, he believed there was no safer place to report it than the Nigerian Police Force. But he received the shock of his life when one of the officers told him, “You will remain poor forever.”
Now, the question is:
If you were in his position, what would you have done? Knowing fully well the kind of man the deceased was, would you have informed the same system that fed on corruption, or chosen another path?
Your answer will reveal who you truly are.
Conclusion:
Looking at these two men—the police officer and the roofer—what do you see? What comes to your mind? An honest man remains honest, regardless of the situation. The same applies to a dishonest man.
🎵 Song:
In Christ alone, my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm...
Here in the love of Christ I stand
Prayer: May the Lord liberate our nations from the hands of the Pharisees. In Jesus name. Amen.
