Topic: THE PHARISEES

Word: Matthew 23:2 NLT

"The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses."

Here’s My Take:

HOW TO KNOW A PHARISEE:

6. A Pharisee is someone that hates the truth: The world today is full of people who hate the truth—I can tell you that for free. I have been around people who admire dishonest individuals. You see them praising such people, and you begin to wonder what kind of mentality they have.

Dishonesty is now seen as smartness, while honesty is viewed as dullness or even cowardice.
I once heard a story about a roofer and some police officers. A wealthy politician had hidden a large sum of money before he died. One day, his family hired a roofer to fix their roof. While working, the man discovered some bags hidden in the roof. When he opened them, he found they were filled with large amounts of naira.

Being honest, he reported it to the police. The officers came and took the money away. But one of them later returned, slapped the man hard, and said, “You will remain poor forever!”—and then left.

Conclusion:

What was in the mind of that police officer to treat an honest man that way? That is the kind of world we live in—a world where evil is often celebrated, and good is punished.

🎵 Song:

Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before, O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name

Prayer: May the Lord liberate our nations from the hands of the Pharisees. In Jesus name. Amen.
