Topic: THE PHARISEES
Word: Matthew 23:2 NLT
"The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses."
Here’s My Take:
HOW TO KNOW A PHARISEE:
"A Pharisee is someone that will not appreciate your effort, because he's not the one that did it."
This type of Pharisee is found everywhere—churches, families, workplaces, and schools. When they see you succeeding, they are uncomfortable and unhappy. They hate it when everyone is celebrating you.
The Pharisees tolerated John the Baptist because his crowd was small. But when Jesus came, they cried: “There’s nothing we can do. Look, everyone has gone after him!” (John 12:11,19)
Conclusion:
If you have anyone in your life who refuses to appreciate your success simply because it wasn't their idea, know that you are dealing with a Pharisee.
🎵 Song:
Shout Jesus from the mountains
Jesus in the streets
Jesus in the darkness, over every enemy
Jesus for my family... I speak the holy name!
Prayer: Lord deliver us from the hands of the Pharisees. In Jesus name. Amen.
