Topic: THE PHARISEES
Word: Matthew 23:2 NLT
"The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses."
Here’s My Take:
The Bible says that despite all the miraculous signs Jesus had done, many people still would not admit their belief openly for fear that the Pharisees would expel them (John 12:37, 42–43).
This attitude is one of the things crippling many African countries today. They know the truth, yet they would rather remain silent than speak up.
When a government is performing poorly, many within it know the truth. Deep down, they are uncomfortable. But because of the fear of losing their jobs, positions, or lives, they choose silence.
Conclusion:
When the government is filled with people who know the truth but refuse to stand for it—people who sing praises to a system destroying the nation—that country is already in trouble.
🎵 Song:
In Christ alone my hope is found;
He is my light, my strength, my song;
this Cornerstone, this solid ground,
firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
Prayer: Lord deliver our nation from people like the Jewish leaders. In Jesus name. Amen.
