Topic: Don't Pity Jonah!
Word: Jonah 1:15 NLT
Then the sailors picked Jonah up and threw him into the raging sea, and the storm stopped at once!
Here's My Take:
What Jonah stands...
3. Delay:
Jonah teaches that obedience is the cure for delay. When he finally obeyed, things aligned again. He reached Nineveh late, but mercy still made room. God can restore wasted time, but you must first surrender. Delay may pause your journey, but it doesn’t cancel your purpose. When Jonah prayed from the fish’s belly, time restarted. That’s the beauty of repentance — it breaks delay’s power.
Delay bows when you say yes to God again.
The same man who delayed destiny became a messenger of mercy. God still used Jonah — not because he was perfect, but because he finally obeyed. So whenever you sense delay, check your direction.
Delay is not always demonic — sometimes, it’s disobedience in disguise. Throw Jonah out, and divine speed will return. Because obedience moves faster than any storm can stop. But disobedience slows a person down, and also affects those connected to the person.
Conclusion:
One can be the Jonah of his/her life by the kinda mentality that person possess. When the person highly exalts him/herself making him/herself too expensive to approach. People will definitely avoid you. Remember that nobody runs alone
Song:
You are glorious in our midst 2×
You are here right now
Clothed in majesty
You are glorious in our midst
And we behold your glory
Ayayaya ayayaya ayayayaya
You are glorious in our midst
Prayer:
Lord, take away every form of Jonah in my life and in my destiny. In Jesus. Amen
