Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
You can't say you have given your life to Christ, and your life is totally controlled by sin. The problem is not our environment but where we sets our hearts; instead of things above, we chose the ones below.
Christ is seated above, and things above brings us to the life of Christ, but things below keep us faraway from that life.
