Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

For a light to shine out of the bulb, a lot of work, which the eye can't see, is taking place. And that's the "good works". Because if those works are bad, that bulb won't shine.

As children of Light, our "good works" are what people see, not just the light. This is why when you enter a place, and see a particular light that's unusual, your attention must surely be drawn to it. Next you'll wanna check it.
