One of the reasons why we shouldn't involved ourselves with paying evil with evil is because every evil has consequences attached to it, therefore anyone that does evil will sure receive them. So when we pay back with evil, we've already attracted to ourselves those consequences. And they'll come.
The earlier we learn this the better for us..
