“Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is filled with light.
Here's My Take:
Don't assume that the way your children fear and honour you is the same way they'll do when they'd matured. Not that they won't respect you, they will. Because there's this awe_phobia that usually take hold of them, when they were small. When you tell them what to do, they'll do them, even when they're not comfortable with that.
But when they'd matured, they won't do everything you say, no matter how good and useful they're. Even you, their parent will be forced to adjust, to be able to accommodate them and their new development; though painful.
This doesn't entail waywardness, or lack of home training, or any conclusion you'll give it. It's just that their own will have started playing role in them, just as yours is doing as well.

There's no selfishness in childhood, it will start surfacing when they'd matured..
