Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor! The Lord rescues them when they are in trouble. Psalms 41:1 NLT
The day I saw this scripture, I was like wow. Because the Bible didn't mention religion, or how righteous the person will be. But just an act of kindness to the poor.
This means if I maltreat that poor girl/boy that is living with me, God will abandon me when trouble comes.
It also means when I neglect the cry of that poor person seeking for my help, when am in the position to help out, God will neglect my prayers for protection. Etc
Let's not forget that the poor could be an adult or a kiddo. It could be any body...
