There was one Sunday morning, as early as 6am, I saw one girl rushing to go to the market to get a spot where she'll stay and sell. And every other Sunday, as I pass there I'll see her sitting in the same spot selling.
Seeing her every Sunday in that same spot, I remember this scripture "not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
Romans 12:11 KJV

But her fervency is only in material things, things that will perish. This is the same way we put our 100% in pursuit of wealth, in pursuit of academics, in pursuit of all earthly things, but little or nothing in spiritual matters. Not that those things doesn't matter, they are. But we neglected the most important things; souls.
Nowadays, society has thought us that happiness is money, and not pleasing the Lord. And the more money you have, the more happier you'll become.
