What to do when you're told goodbye:

4. Get yourself together:

Getting yourself together is sign of maturity and not weakness.

Don't blame anyone who chose to get him/herself together thereby allowing sleeping dog lie, because you think s/he did the wrong thing. You may not have known how long s/he has tried to make things work; how long s/he has tried to glue that friendship/relationship together. Yet the other chose to part ways.

Don't be surprised, in that failed marriage the person that sought(went) for divorce was actually not the one that wanted divorce. But because the other has threatened him/her so much with separation,

then that person will go for it before the traitor could say Jack.

My Daddy in the Lord, Pastor Arinze Ifekudu once said "when any child wants to die, if you like lie him/her down, if you like carry him/her on your arms/backs, if you like do whatever you want, s/he will surely die".

In other words, when people have made up their minds to say goodbye, if you like buy them private jet, they'll take it and still say goodbye.

Conclusion:

Don't let people that told you goodbye come back and find you the way you were when they left. Whether as divorce or disengagement, or anything, don't remain the same. Be better!
