Here's My Take:
From today we'll be looking at the reasons why GOD will BLESS ME and also BLESS YOU.
Why should God Bless Me
1. Because it is written:
One awesome thing about this Awesomely Awesome God is that he doesn't joke with his Word. As long as you can prove yourself right through his words you'll get whatsoever you asked.
That doesn't mean that he can't do things for anyone with/without speaking the word. But speaking the Word makes you familiar; it makes God see you as a member of his household that knows the code to the family treasure.
Let's deviate a little. If you're a boss in the office and two people are waiting for a particular opportunity. And you knew one and the other is a total stranger but both are qualified. Who will you give it to?
You'll surely chose the one that is familiar. That's what the Word of God does. Even if you can't quote it verbatim, paraphrase it, He'd already known, even before you thought about it.
Conclusion:
As long as it is written, it is written. And no one will change that.
