Engineering listed what Bad pistol and rings will cause to an engine, but we'll amplify them to what it will be like if it's to be likened to a young vibrant minister...

They're as follows

i). White or gray exhaust smoke: 

when you surround yourself with bad friendships, you become visionless. You won't see far; no foresight. All that will matter to you is 'now'

Rehoboam was a typical example of an engine with a very bad pistol and rings. He surrounded himself with ill-mannered and unreasonable friends.

Men(boys) whose thoughts and reasonings were shallow and slant. The scripture said that men who counseled his father, Solomon told him what to do; which was very perfect, and he rejected their Wisdom. And went after bad pistol and rings, with shallow mindsets.(2 Chronicles 10:8-10)

Imagine, as wise as King Solomon was, yet he surrounded himself with such men. That means those men must be excellent. Not just good but Excellent. 2 Chronicles chapter nine, listed how organized Solomon was. So such a man won't keep foolishness around him. But his son; wise man's son, rejected the Wisdom of his father(which was speaking through this men) and chose the yeye(silly) counsel of his friends.

Conclusion:

Wisdom is drawn by Wisdom, but when Wisdom refused to be drawn by Wisdom, it will be drawn by foolishness.
