What killed the young MOG, was because he couldn't differentiate the voice of God from that of man. Imagine you said God told you and another came and said an Angel told him, whose report should be more authentic? So whose report should you believe?

Let's be careful when "thus says the Lord" is playing with our head. For there are many out there who are gifted with lying with the name of the Lord. Any little thing they said, you'll hear "God told me". Even when their mind is deceiving them. A story was told about a sister who was having issues with another sister. As they gathered to pray during one of their evening fellowship. The Sister began her thus say the Lord "huuu haaa huuu haaa warn sister C(name withheld) for meooo. Sister C is attacking me. Warn her for me. Huuu haaa huuu haaa"

Nobody knew that they were having issues until the Church leaders made inquiry and found out what inspired her thus says the Lord.

The report you believed in, is the report that will work for you. If the Young MOG had insisted on what the Lord told him, the wickedness of the Old Prophet wouldn't have prevailed, thus Leading to his downfall.

Test every Spirit(thus says the Lord) to know which is really from God.
