“The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses.
Here’s My Take:
Jesus Encounter With The Pharisees:
According to the Book of Luke , the Pharisees were uncomfortable and unhappy because of the open confession of the people about Jesus. That was the same way some people feel uncomfortable, even aggressive, when they hear you acknowledge Jesus openly. Mentioning His name alone unsettles them. His praise threatens them.
This reminds me of my ordeal with people like that years ago. Then I had the privilege of going out for a morning cry some days. I didn't know that my preaching was making some people from the other religion uncomfortable. Until when I was preaching one day, one of them came out and was making a threat. I finished my work and left there.
Next time as I was preparing to go there again, the Spirit of God told me not to go there again. He told me to continue with the other locations and avoid that place. And I obeyed. Friends, people can go any length to resist the Gospel of Christ. Now imagine if the Pharisees can be bold to tell Jesus to stop the people from acknowledging Him, it then means that the ones around us right now will be more brutal.
Conclusion:
Most times the people that would want to shut you down won't be the people from the other religion or the unbelievers. But your fellow believers; one who claimed to Love and serve God like you.
If you have had such experience, say Hi

Jahovah is Your name
Jahovah is Your name
You are the Mighty warrior
The Great in battle
Jahovah is Your name
Prayer:
Lord, may nothing stop me from telling the world about Christ. In Jesus name. Amen.
