This verse of the Scripture sound more like.."if I then, your Lord and Master, have helped, being there, loved, stood by you, etc; ye also ought to do same for one another(others)."

Jesus used that verse of the Scripture to teach us selflessness, love, empathy, and not selfishness, greed and wickedness. May the Lord increase our knowledge in Him.
