Topic: My Now, Your Now, Our Now:
Word: Luke 18:11 NLT
The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer: ‘I thank you, God, that I am not like other people—cheaters, sinners, adulterers. I’m certainly not like that tax collector!
Here's My Take:
Those their Now Came:
6. The Publican:
Lessons to learn from The Story of the Publican
5. Don't make yourself a monitoring spirit:
There are people who had made themselves monitoring spirits. They're busy monitoring every movement you make. When you start your car, they'll look through the window, to know which direction you followed. When you come back, same thing will be done
Whether it concerns them or not, they'll like to know(see, hear) everything you've done or didn't do. They'll always want to be the first to know everything about you. So that they'll use them against you or for gist.
They're everywhere; in our streets, Church, compounds, working place, etc. They won't stop until they've gotten everything about you. Be careful!
Conclusion:
It's easy to become a monitoring spirit; when you can't mind your business.
Song:
It’s hard to see the storm blowing over any time soon
It’s hard to hear any hope in the headlines
Or how to know what’s true
We’ve been trusting in the broken to make us whole
But there’s no new rescue coming
It’s still the one we’ve always known
We need the Healer
We don’t need another hero
We need the Healer
Deep down every hurting heart knows
We need the Healer
And only Jesus is the Healer
Prayer:
Father let as many that are monitoring me and my family be disappointed. Amen.
How was Sunday service???
