Causes of Weakness:
11. When one's source of courage is destroyed:
In the days of old, every kingdom had what gave them courage. It could be the strength(number) of their army. It could be their King. It could be their wealth. It could be their farm produce or rich land minerals. It could be their deity. It could be their allies. Etc. So to destroy any nation, first destroy or take away it's source of courage, such nation will slave you.
There was a time that Bro Samson was the source of courage for the children of Israel. Throughout his lifetime, it wasn't recorded that the enemies of Israel went after any other person. It was only him.
Philippians became a terror to nations because of one man, Goliath. They stopped terrorizing people when their courage, Goliath was killed by David.
When God allowed the Ark of God to be taken away, Israel almost lost their identity.
From the scripture you'll see so many Weaknesses as a result of how people's sources of courage were taken away from them, especially in the old testament. Even in the new testament, immediately Jesus allowed himself to be arrested, not even killed, His Disciples tear race.
Conclusion:
If all that was stated above and more were true, what manner of man are you to put your trust in things that doesn't matter. For where a man's courage is, there his destruction is. Same way if a man's courage is on weapons, there his destruction will be.
