Someone said "Jesus said go and show yourselves to your priest!

Now the Samaritans don’t have priest and he recognized that it was Jesus that healed him! He doesn’t need any validation from anyone so he came back to give thanks to Jesus

The Jews always needed validation from people. They worship Moses and God but they don’t recognize Jesus. So they went to show their priest themselves and didn’t deem it fit to come back to the person that healed them"

Then I replied

But from the scripture, Luke 17:12‭-‬15 GNT, the Bible said

He was going into a village when he was met by ten men suffering from a dreaded skin disease. *They stood at a distance and shouted, “Jesus! Master! Have pity on us!”*

this means that they'd already known who Jesus was

Jesus saw them and said to them, “Go and let the priests examine you.”

from the scriptures, the lepers are not allowed into the congregation, not to mention coming close to the temple, where the Priests are. So Jesus did that to test their faith, to see their reaction. But non gave excuse, but stood up to go and meet the priest

On the way they were made clean.

that Obedience, by going to meet the priests, brought their cleansing.

When one of them saw that he was healed, he came back, praising God in a loud voice.

this is the man with the heart of gratitude. He knew the gravity of what Jesus did for him and his family. He knew that with this healing, he can now associate with friends, family and the commonwealth of Israel. That was why he turned back immediately to thank God and share his testimony

This is what we see today in our Churches, when people come to thank God for the things he did for them, they thought they're giving their Thanksgiving offering to man(Pastor).

But when such mindset is renewed, people will go satisfied for what they gave to God.

Let Us Pray 🙏🙏
