We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise.

Here's My Take: 

How to know that you've been told Goodbye.

5. When there's comparison: 

When you're in a relationship(dating) with someone and s/he busy comparing you to someone else, it's a sign that you should take your leave. If s/he is comparing you with someone else, know that s/he is admiring that person. Better take a walk! It's a sign of a goodbye.

This attitude is a killjoy. It has never helped any relationship/friendship grow and/or become better. Comparing what you have with

someone else's, shows that you don't value what you have and you will soon get bored over it. Same thing when we compare people we claim to love with someone else.

Note that where one's interest is, that's where s/he heart(mind) will be also. That person that compares you with someone else, has already told you where his/her mind is.

Don't be deceived by what comes out of such person's mouth, rather be convinced by what s/he has done.

Conclusion:

Where comparison strives, long-suffering will go extinct
